What is a Personal Auto Insurance policy?

Personal Auto Insurance policies provide financial protection to the insured if they are involved in an accident.  They can protect the insured in the event of a lawsuit.  They are a defined contract between you and the insurance company that outlines the policy coverages that the company pays on your behalf when an accident happens. For Example, Bodily Injury liability and Property Damage liability pay for damages or injuries you cause to others and their property.

Medical Payments: Pay the insured or occupants of your car for Medical Expenses caused from an accident.

Uninsured Motorist Bodily Injury and Underinsured Motorist Bodily Injury

You can collect from you own insurance for bodily injury sustained in an accident if the other vehicle’s driver is at fault and has no insurance or lower Bodily Injury limits than your policy’s Uninsured Motorist Bodily Injury and Underinsured Motorist Bodily Injury coverage.

You can also be held liable for actual damages, economic damages, and emotional and physical pain and suffering.
